Loudon County Republican Party
The Republican Party, commonly referred to as the GOP (abbreviation for Grand Old Party) was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854 with the party’s primary aim of bringing down slavery in the country. Over the years, the party’s conservative approach focused on the issues of the economy and the role of government. Today, the Republican Party continues to strive for a strong conservative country that was built by our forefathers and its constitution. The Tennessee Republican Party continues to take the voices of its residents to a national platform to be heard.
The Loudon County Republican Party represents the citizens of Loudon County, Lenoir City, Loudon, Philadelphia, and Greenback. The elected Executive Committee represent the view and voices of its county residents. The committee continues to promote the activities of its elected officials and the Republican Party fighting for a freer and stronger America where everyone has the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
As of 2017, the Republican Party is documented as being at its strongest position politically since 1982. In addition to holding its presidency, the republican’s control the 115th United States Congress, having the majorities in the House as well as the Senate. The party holds the majority in state governorships and state legislators.
